How to Fight Depression
Depression is a state of low mood and distaste for the activity. A person using a state of depression usually experience a feeling of sadness, helplessness and hopelessness. It is a very common condition affecting more than one in 10 people suffer from it at some point. Depression is a mental disorder of a person of energy, feelings, thinking and behavior. In its milder, a person may begin to feel differentiated, lonely, restless and may even develop insomnia. Such individuals can usually lose interest in sex and want to be left alone, but can be overcome with changes in lifestyle and social support. There are some signs of depression. They are:
* Feeling down.
* Anger.
* Low energy level.
* Low self-esteem and guilt.
* Poor concentration.
* Fear of failure.
* Loss of interest in everyday life and hobbies.
* Unexplained aches.
* Unable to control negative thoughts.
* Significant weight loss or weight gain.
On the other hand, a severe depression is characterized by the inability to advertise the life experience to enjoy the pleasures. The symptoms range from moderate to severe, but if untreated it may extend up to 6 months.
Depression is not just to go away on its own. Besides seeking medical help from a doctor or therapist, here are a few things you can do to make you feel better.
1. Watch your diet. You might be over or under eating. Keep a strict watch on your scale. Proper diet and nutrition is very essential in influencing one’s mood. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and get regular meals.
2. Exercise. Even a short walk will help to stimulate nerve cells and gives an energetic boost. Some yoga postures can also be very useful.
3. Identify the reasons. Find out what the situations that force you into a somber mood. Once the exact reason above, talk to a close and caring friend. You’ll feel better once you do, sir those thoughts. Feeling connected to friends and family can relieve depression.
4. Express yourself. Start a new hobby. Let the creative part of your soul. Take some time to hand out with friends. Laughter is the best medicine.
5. Look on the bright side. Try to notice the good things in life than the negative. Count your blessings, not your misery.
6. Be selective about your social circle. Avoid people who tend to buy into a low mood. If around them is exhaustive. Avoid them at all costs.
